NYC Leads The Way For New Year’s Eve Celebrations

Mayor De Blasio’s ‘preference’ is to move forward with plans for the return of New York City’s iconic New Year’s Eve celebration.

Times Square NYE 2022 will safely invite revelers back to Times Square to watch the Ball Drop in person, with proof of full vaccination and valid photo identification. The highly anticipated festivities will also be broadcast for television and internet audiences around the world.

Mayor Bill De Blasio, spoke with NBC’s Hallie Jackson saying, “I’m just opposed to the notion that when we meet a new challenge the answer is just shut things down.”

De Blasio went on to explain additional measures to ensure health and safety by requiring vaccinations and face masks.

We applaud New York City’s unrelenting efforts to stick with the holiday tradition amid this brief rise in illnesses around the world. This seems to be the new normal and Time Square’s fireworks is symbolic of America drive to move forward while living in the new normal.
